  • Wisdom's Response: Wisdom notices the first drop. It addresses small compromises or negative thoughts before they turn into a downpour.

2. The Floods (Overwhelming Circumstances)

  • The Assignment: To attack your peace and move you out of your destiny.
  • The Rising Tide: Floods rise slowly and steadily, surrounding you with drama and conflict.
  • The Drifting Effect: A flood’s job is to move you from where you belong to where you don’t.
  • Wisdom's Response: Anchor yourself. Anchor to God’s Word, the church, and a supportive community (like life groups) so you don't drift away when things get deep. (Isaiah 43:2)

3. The Wind (Spiritual Attacks/Whispers)

  • The Assignment: To attack your position and find a "vulnerable entrance."
  • The Whispers: The wind represents the persistent, quiet whispers of the enemy. It beats against the house, looking for a crack—an offense, pride, isolation, or insecurity.
  • The "Prince of the Air": Like seeds flying in the wind, negative thoughts can land and take root if we aren't careful.
  • Wisdom's Response: Close the window. Don't let anything whisper in your ear other than the Word of God.

Conclusion

Being a "wise builder" is defined by obedience.

  • It’s not enough to hear the Word; you must apply it.
  • Take inventory: Do you need to drop an anchor? Do you need to close a window to the enemy's whispers?
  • Build your life on the bedrock of Christ to remain unshakable.
